About the RNCB
The Rehabilitation Nursing Certification Board (RNCB) develops, administers, and evaluates the certification program for rehabilitation nursing. The CRRN® credential, first developed in 1984, is widely recognized and highly valued by employers in all post-acute care settings. The CRRN is the only accredited certification for rehabilitation nurses. Its proven track record for more than 30 years assures employers, patients, and colleagues that the CRRN is a credible and reliable distinction for nurses practicing in the specialty of rehabilitation nursing. Today, there are more than 13,000 CRRNs.
The mission of the RNCB is to promote excellence in care by validating qualifications and specialized knowledge in the rehabilitation nursing specialty.
The CRRN program is accredited by the Accreditation Board of Specialty Nursing Certification.

The Following Committees Support the RNCB
In addition to the RNCB, committees are important to the CRRN program to evolve the examination and to audit CRRN renewal applications.
The CRRN Exam Committee develops new examination items ensures the content of the CRRN examination reflects current rehabilitation nursing practice.
The CRRN Audit Panel audits a percentage of CRRN renewal applications throughout the year, to ensure compliance with renewal requirements.
